The zebra blind profile set: headbox, tube, bottom bar and intermediate bar

Four aluminium profiles work together in a zebra blind. Here is what each one does and how to choose it.

Zebra blind headbox profile

A zebra blind has more parts than a roller blind. The intermediate bar that moves between the two fabric layers adds one more profile to the system. The profiles must match each other dimensionally for the blind to run straight and quietly.

Headbox

The covered profile mounted to the ceiling or wall that hides the tube and mechanism. A cassette system keeps dust out and gives a finished look.

Roller tube

The main carrier the fabric wraps around. Because the two-layer fabric is heavy, choose one size larger than for a roller blind.

Intermediate bar

The light profile at the bottom turn between the two fabric layers. It keeps the fabric taut and flat, and its ends are closed with caps.

Bottom bar or handrail

Adds weight and a finish at the very bottom. On a windy façade a wide handrail profile stays steadier.

Order as a set

We stock all zebra profiles from the same colour chart, together with matching end caps and head units. That way there are no colour or size differences between the parts.
